Noah Simmons, Owner/CEO
Simmons began his sports field maintenance experience at the ripe age of 12, working on the grounds crew for the Schaumburg Flyers. From there, his love and passion for creating well-manicured and safe fields and playing surfaces grew!
He began working for the Gary SouthShore RailCats as grounds crew member in 2011, and then Assistant Groundskeeper through the 2014 season. In 2015, he was named Head Groundskeeper of the RailCats at age 17, and spent 12 seasons with the organization.
The number of question from high school coaches, local park department leaders, and home owners on best practices to maintain a safe field, and beautiful lawn inspired him to start Simmons Field Solutions in 2017.
Simmons is a 2015 graduate of Portage High School, and lifelong resident of Portage.
Cody Simmons, head foreman
Cody Simmons is the Head Foreman at Simmons Landscaping & Supply with more than eight years of experience in athletic field construction, renovation, and professional landscaping. He began his career in 2014 working alongside Noah Simmons with the Gary SouthShore RailCats and later served as Head Groundskeeper for the Chicago Dogs in 2019.
Cody has contributed to projects at every level of play, including work with the Chicago White Sox, South Bend Cubs, Schaumburg Boomers, Scranton RailRiders (Yankees Triple-A), and numerous high schools and Little League organizations throughout Northwest Indiana. In addition to leading field projects, he oversees landscaping installations including grading, sod, drainage, hardscapes, and commercial site work.
Outside of work, Cody enjoys spending time with his wife, their two boys, and their dog — his favorite team off the field.
